MAY 28 2026 External Mississippi House Rep. Jansen Owen, R-Poplarville, announced he will not be seeking reelection to the state legislature in 2027 and instead will be running for district attorney in the 15th Circuit Court District.
MAY 28 2026 External State Rep. Jansen Owen (R) will not be seeking re-election to his House District 106 seat next year, choosing instead to run for District Attorney for the 15th Circuit Court District which includes Marion, Pearl River, Lamar, and Walthall counties.
